TB stands for tuberculosis, and while the numbers of people affected by tuberculosis is on heavy decline, the battle is still only half won. Most people who die from TB are in the third world, where medical advancement isn't as high as it should be, and help isn't always available or affordable. March 24th is established as World TB Day in honor of Dr Robert Koch, who discovered on March 24th 1882 the source of tuberculosis, the TB bacillus, and since then the fight is still ongoing to eradicate this disease that causes nodules in the body tissue - especially the lungs - thus causing extreme suffering to those afflicted.
