Obstetric Fistula is a condition that affects many girls and women in developing countries (around 2 to 3 million) especially in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, The Arab Region, and Latin America and the Caribbean, and it's when a hole is formed in the birth canal caused by prolonged labor without medical intervention. It's a serious condition that makes women incontinent in urine, feces or both. These women are then shunned and bullied in many societies, and left to live alone. Obstetric Fistula is a completely preventable condition, so let's all work together in order to help science and medicine reach these parts of the world and help ease the suffering of these women.
