World Cancer Day
Feb 04, 2017

In the light of Cancer being one of the most common illnesses, World Cancer Day was established every February 4th, in order to unite the global population in the fight against Cancer.

A lot has so far been done in terms of Cancer research, but we are still far away from finding a real cure, or from being able to fully support Cancer patients in their battle.

Currently, 8.2 million people die from cancer worldwide every year, out of which, 4 million people die prematurely. This number is unacceptable, and something needs to be done about it; which is why on this day, we urge every single person to to spread the word and raise the profile of Cancer in people’s minds and in the world’s media.

In every dark place, there is a light. We all need to be that light by raising support and funding for Cancer research, in the hopes that one day, it will be nothing more than an illness as trivial as the common cold.
